I like! I have some lights that have been sitting in the garage for a while. I've been trying to decide how to do them.
It's my OCD... but they could have at least dip the inserts so the carbon fiber lays the same... when I wrap them I make sure the CF is mirrored to each other.
Yeah, You make a great point. But what if a C/F hood was to be used? then one side would look off.
Now you have a philosoraptor moment![]()
Well somebody would have tell me they are using a CF hood, then I would wrap the inserts in the same direction as their hood (or close enough). But your inserts are not dipped to match a CF hood, so your point is moot
Either way they still look good... don't get me wrong.
I too figured out the tunnels had to be grounded down so the halos would sit flush, it was a PITA really.
Try to secure the power and ground wires, so they don't come off when you are on final install. I had one pull off when I was barely doing anything, the soldering is kind of shotty work. I used liquid electrical tape to make sure they wouldn't move where they are soldered to the board.

Thank you I will do that, I was not offended but having fun. My wife pulled something like this but with my speaker box material.
This was a very complex install, when it was done my friend that helped me with it all asked my wife what she thought of the install. She looked a the part that I showed you and after a few seconds of looking she simply replies:
"The gain of the material does not match each other."
My friend who is the lead installer at a shop is all like flustered and goes "Are you kidding me!? Really!" Mind you he was not mad, just that out of all the detail and work that went into the install as a whole was defeated by one person over such a small detail.
My wife is a decent seamstress.
So you pointing out what you did gave me a good laugh. I honestly thought about telling them to mirror them, but...it is what it is.
Looks good Steve!
