ecu housing swap

So the flashable ecu I'm using is a montero ecu that Adam modified for me. I would really like it if I could get it to fit in the stock location just for the sake of retaining the stock-ness of the whole thing.

My question is, can I swap the boards out between the two or is that just a really dumb thing to try and do?

Pretty sure you can swap the cases from an earlier gen ECU. The cover will be a little larger for the 4 plug ECUs but it should still swap over.

Just pick up a cheap $50 SOHC 98 or 99 ECU and the covers will match 100% perfectly.
