Does anyone know if the entrance fees to charity runs are tax deductible because it's a charitable donation? I'm pretty sure they are, but just curious.
I'd like to start running in some races, but it can get expensive if you do it often enough.

I don't see why not. I would claim it as a donation. How expensive is the fee, and are you usually better off with an itemized deduction?
I've seen entrace fees anywhere from $10 to $35. We usually do itemized deductions anyway, so it's not like we'd be changing the way we filed at the end of the year.
