Much more efficient turbo and inner cooler setup.

If someone near ray wanted to borrow them while they are off my car the next month or two. I have no problem lending them for a dyno comparison. I have front and rear.

how is it we cannot replicate this, or at least get close? Our best intercooler setups are pretty beefy, is there some problem with them I do not know about? I know it is hard to not have a bunch of bends and other issues due to packaging restraints, but the cores themselves should be ok on the good setups.

is it just DR heads? wouldn't any +1 (stage 3) heads be sufficient for this?

also, are we shelving the idea of strokers for this discussion?

I believe this is part of the issue.

Just DR heads. Matt M spent YEARS buying NEW sets of heads and applying different combustion chamber designs in an attempt at eliminating the hot spots in the cylinders. I can't for the life of me find that thread but it dates back to the early 2000 era of 3si back when Matt shared a lot of technical info.

BTW my DR750 car will be running a stroker.

I'd put my money on cam lobe profile (lift, and duration) and valve timing and over lap. Combustion chamber shape and texture will also play a factor.

Ported heads, IPS 2mm oversized valves, Delta 264/272 cams, 3SX High rev valve springs, 3SX cam gears,
Merkel 6g72 3.5L BILLET crank stroker (going in this summer), 3sx poly motor mounts
IPS EvoIII turbo kit, HKS SSQV bov, ETS anodized FMIC, AEM intake filters, Tanabe Turbo Back Concept G Blue Exhaust,
HKS DLI, Ultra spark plug wires, Denso iridium IK24 spark plugs,
JSPEC trans, Ultimate Performance short throw shifter, Spec carbon twin disk clutch, PST aluminum 2 piece drive shaft,
Denso Supra fuel pump, RC 750cc fuel injectors, AEM Fuel pressure regulator,
AEM wideband & boost gauge, AEM EMS in speed density,
    Addco sway bars, DBA 4000 drilled & slotted rotors, Enkei PF01 18x9 +45, BFGoodrich g-froce KDW 245/40/R18

I would prefer to keep things as simple as possible and not dive into various displacement options. Bore and stroke size does have an effect, but I think any improvements we can come up with will benefit both stock and non stock displacements.

Completely agree. Everyone is so bent on sticking with the stock cams...

It's really more of a bang for the buck mentality with this group though. 4 cams are expensive to swap out and no one can "prove" results from just a cam swap alone.
