I just saw the post about Pauly, I had no clue.
He and I have had a friendly business relationship, I respect his work and he appreciated mine.
PLEASE, if you need a shifter, buy from Pauly....(not from the Ebay sellers)....
Bob.
I want one now!
Don't have the money for one now, but I would buy one if they were readily available
Short throw shifters don't interest me at all

ball bearings are a gimmick. They don't affect anything, these are greased with bushings. Its a nice buzzword though.
real 3s'ers have NoCar transfer cases...
Says the man who doesn't own one
If I remember right Paul don't make em personally anymore
Here's a comparison between Paul and Bob's shifters:
One may be first gen and one second. I don't remember since I bought Paul's years ago and haven't used it yet. Bob's needs some new bushings to tighten things up since it was installed on a long time member's car. I was lucky to find it. Eventually I will try them both out to see which one I like better vs stock. It's extremely low priority though. It wouldn't be too hard to make Bob's shifter. I'd have to find a place to water jet some pieces or else I'm stuck cutting everything on a bandsaw. I already have a TIG welder and making a jig would be easy enough. I don't have time though plus I don't think there's a demand for it or much money in it anyways. I'm sure that's why they fell by the wayside in the first place. I'll probably keep it for something possibly in the future.
If you're going to buy one definitely go to 3SX and get the Seattle Roller Bearing Short Throw Shifter. Paul is battling cancer so anything helps including more parts sales.

I was lucky enough to find one of these in the classifieds a while ago. Best "non stock" shifter I have ever used. And I hate aftermarket shifters with a passion.

.the ecstasy lasts as long as thegasolineE85.
Bob maybe you could approach your friend saying you want to jig up 2 more for your sons rather than try to get him to go back into business. My Seattle shifter came yesterday. It looks like a quality item. Install time was about 20 minutes, 5 of which were spent trying to remove the old cotter pin. The throw feels really nice. It's definitely a shorter throw. I haven't driven the car yet but I think I'll be happy with it.
