Here's a big update that's been a long time coming.
Got the engine bay all ready for the engine.
Degreeing the camshafts. There was a lot of trial and error and help before I figured it out completely.
Got my huge ETS 5" FMIC core in
And finally, for the first time since 2012, my car has an engine in it. (The plenum still needs to be modified and powdercoated)

Progress has pretty much come to a halt. My girlfriend had surgery and was in the hospital for a week and is now recovering at home, so she has my attention until she recovers.
Here are some things since the engine went in
Trans cases all cleaned up ready for the internals
Clutch installed
Work Emotion CR 2 piece
Hopefully I can get the trans rebuilt and the car rolling around again soon.
On the ground
Seeing daylight again
It still needs an alignment and some height added back in. The front bumper needs to be trimmed to fit the intercooler.
First major update in a long time. I started breaking the trans down, cleaning up everything real good, found RTV plugging the oiling holes after the previous guy rebuilt it. Luckily I didn't drive the car long after I had the trans rebuilt the first time. I found that my second gear, spare second gear, and both sliders are junk, so I went ahead and ordered a new 2nd gear and hub/slider assembly. If I would had known how much I was going to spend getting the trans back in good condition, I would have just bought the dogbox. Oh well, we will get that later. Here's some pictures of proof of progress.

Any updates on this build?![]()
What a coincidence that I logged in today. I haven't logged on here in a very long time. There are updates since I last posted, but no recent "updates". I will update this thread later, but I'm waiting on Ray to complete his midcase brace, IMR to finish my intake manifold, and myself to weld up the single turbo crossover. I also sold my BMW and bought a Black/Black 99 VR4 that I'll start a thread on here later.
I forgot to post this update. I finished the counter shaft a while back. Moving over to the input shaft, I found it damaged and the corresponding bearing race cracked from the guy who rebuilt it last. Luckily I have a spare. I also bought a new 3rd gear and a good condition used 5th since they were beat up. Going to assemble the new input shaft but I am now waiting on Ray to complete his new brace he is developing
Mocking some things up.

Wow that really looks tight!
Do you have more engine bay shots? I seen you mentioned welding the crossover pipe but using Gene's single turbo manifold. Did you just get manifolds?
Awesome build and beautiful 99 on the other thread.
