Aeration at the oil pump inlet was measured by X-ray absorption in a production V-6 SI engine motoring at 2000 to 6000 rpm. Within experimental uncertainty, these windage tray changes had no effect on aeration.

Then a windage tray aeration reduction study was performed. Three alternative tray designs were tested. Results showed the design changes to have no significant affect on the aeration level.

Thanks, I'll order a new OEM harmonic balancer instead.

I ordered the replacement face for my UR lightweight flywheel earlier today. So now ill have everything ready for balancing etc.

There was some other testing on the windage tray and crank scrapers but I think it may have been on 3STech. I know it has been awhile since I read about it because I thought they would help out, but neither ended up making any improvements. Feel free to try and dig up the info. I know some of our members tested it out.

It will be interesting to see how that turbo performs since we have to run longer manifolds in a single turbo setup. It should work well with the QSV although you won't get any benefit over a 6766 unless you plan to push the turbo near its limits.

Yea I figured I would be the first one to run it. I was really looking at a gtx4297/02 before this came out. I'm going to try to run it to its max so we will see how it does. I'm going to run it with just the qsv first to see where spool is. If its a little bit too laggy, ill get a tiny bit of spray to help it out. I plan on running e85 as well so it should help me out some there too.
