ANy ideas on how to transport an engine?

I am out of town on business and think I found a pretty good deal on an engine nearby. INcludes trans and TC

Unfortunately, I drove my wife's Ford 500 and even if I thought it would be OK, she would kick my ass severely.

If she had a hitch, i'd rent a small trailer.

Any thoughts?

thought about picking up a tarp or something, but I'm concerned about the amount of weight of complete longblock(manifolds turbos, etc), trans and TC

Make sure you drain all fluids. Not recommend using a car to transport... our engines are damm heavy and I don't see how you can get in a car's trunk and if you do youll be driving so low...

Also you are looking at 500-600lbs with the trans and tcase

Didn't know about trans and t case. You could separate them, and put the trans in the front or back seat, wrapped up in heavy leaf style trash bags of course. For people worried about weight, 2 moderately fat dudes weigh about the same amount.

lol...The seller recommended I pull the front seat.

He claims the engine rattles. Going to assume spun bearing. Is $500 a good price for complete engine, trans, TC wiring and JDM ECU? I'm thinking so
