current options for monitoring knock on 94-95

    Hello guys,

It's been a while since I have been able to unleash my car, but over the past year, I have lost the software for my palm datalogger (miragecorp software), and that was what I was using to monitor knock. I still need to monitor knock regularly, but I haven't been keeping up to speed on what's going on on the internet regarding options for 94-95 hybrid ecu cars. what options are currently available for monitoring knock with the 94 ecu? if the miragecorp software is still available also, that would be great as well as my car is already wired for the palm.

thanks for your kindness (searching pulls up a few answers, but not as many answers as asking questions).

All you really need for that is Blackstealth's datalogger cable (about $20) and purchase Evoscan software ( $25 ). Blackstealth grounds pin 1 in his cable which is what's needed for the Hybrid ECUs. In Evoscan you just have to set the flag for the parameters you want to log.

Always heard good things about HHH.

    Miragecorp is still available.

HHH (Hand Held Halo) which is a PC based version which is my personal favorite out the bunch.

I've also had the Blackstealth LCD and it seemed to not run too smoothly on my 95. Blackstealth was helping my troubleshoot for awhile but I guess it was chalked up to installation error. I did have a buddy who (actually helped install mine) had it on his 99 and he loves the damn thing.

That Evoscan maptrace feature looks VERY good. I will have to do that once I tune in the car this spring. I may do the blackstealth lcd monitor just to have a consistent view of knock, but it depends on how tuning goes after it's all done. Hopefully I should have everything completely wrapped up engine wise by summer.

FYI, some 94+ cars have ground noise problems and creates garbage OBD communication errors. I have made a noise filter to address this problem, just waiting feedback on the results.
