    Thanks, thats great to know!

I'm finding out more and more regarding the differences between the US spec and Euro spec cars each day.

Most people are aware of the facts that the Euro cars had 13G turbos and that we never got the 2,5 and 3th generation looks but instead kept the 2th generation looks, active aero and ECS until production stopped in 1999. However apart from these facts there seems a few more bits and pieces which are different but not very well known since most 3S page and resources on the web focus either on the US or JDM spec cars.

Here is a few differences I've found out so far compared to US spec cars:

    • The left intercooler intake in the front spoiler is removable in order to attach the removable tow hook
    • Air ducts on the front controls arms just like the MR cars
    • Slighly different front active aero undertray
    • 6-speed cars have the shorter "JDM gearing"

different rear bumper too, extra lower front crash bar etc... wiring of many things is very different vs USDM specs. not all but many of the german/euro specs got the 13g turbos, they were an option but in the southern EU countries like in Spain and Italy very few cars had the option.

the part numbers for the "EU" spec turbos are

    _Turbo Assy_____Core_______Model__

Interesting facts I thought the 13G's where standard cause I've never seen a car over here without them.

The extra lower front crash bar is a hideous thing by the way. Mine going in original parts bin. I've always thought it was really ugly so now when I had the front off I took the chance and removed it.

BTW, all that crap on the clutch line is a clutch damping system. From what I gather it smooths out engagement and prevents you from dumping the clutch too hard.
You mean that the whole snake nest of pipes is a part of the damping system?

I thought it was only this little valve in the clutch slave cylinder.

This is interesting to know cause I have a new braided clutch line from 3SX waiting to go in and I was thinking about deleting the whole snake nest while I'm at it.

Delete it all. I'm curious as well to what's inside the splitter piece, the 2 pieces with bleeders are probably accumulators. 1 for engagement and 1 for disengagement I'd say.

Wow, what a great build thread. I really enjoyed reading through this. I about died laughing at all the stereo wiring.

I'll delete the the whole thing and report back on what I find inside.

Yea that really was the stereo installation from hell... probably the worst de-wiring job I've ever had to do and I'm still finding random bit lefts from it all over the car. Not to mention the ugly antenna installed on top of the roof!
