    It made Japolnik!

    This FD...

For $11,000, All I Want For Christmas Is These Two Fast Seats

...is the one my buddy in CO was helping it's owner with, the same fellow who I bought my TT from.

    He's a little stoked
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

As I recall, the rationale was to fit a small-block Chev (it was available complete at a good price) to troubleshoot the build, and follow up with an LS7 later on.

The car as purchased was pretty much a basketcase, and my buddy had to cajole the guy into backing up a bit and doing it properly.

It was advertised as a mid-stream project, but was basically just a decent roller with a crappy conversion just started.

I think it was a 383 crate motor mounted with a home-made engine plate - it was pretty gruesome.

The guy actually sold it because he had to change jobs and do some driving between Denver and Houston, so he needed a better road car.

As I understand, he'd been DDing the FD for several months, and getting it squared away as he went.

I've driven the car, it's probably 400 WHP, and handled like buttah.

the highest-rated HP on an lt1 (factory spec) was 305chp. we're talking about picking up ~150whp. no, not magic, but if we're still talking a 350, it certainly isn't running pure pump gas.

350 has nothing to do with it. An LS-1 is 346ci. Do I think this LT1 is putting down 400? No, not really.
