The biggest problem I have with that demo is that all he is doing is aerating the oils to see how much air he can whip into them with and without the lucas... most people should know that keeping oil levels at the proper level avoids any such aeration...

the level of oil in a spur geartrain can be anywhere from 25-75% of the pitch radius, with 50% being the average. The comparison is just above 50%, so the fill level is correct.
See the effect of fill level, h-bar, on page 64 of the following reference:

I just don't see how a spinning a gear half submerged like this equates to what is going on inside a full crankcase in a motor, that's my only question... Supposedly when your crankcase is at the "full" level your oil does NOT aerate... That's all I'm saying.
That is representative of what is going on a transmission or differential. Much less worse than in an engine. Here you have an oil pump creating vacuum and possibly cavitating the oil on the way in, the high pressure galleries feeding main bearings, which then feed conrods (cavitation is actually quite common here). Either that, or they spin around and come out the sides of the bearing shells after 10-50 spins around and aerating.
I run lucas on every oil change on both cars. The Eclipse has bad lifters but with the lucas, you cannot hear them...with just Rotella, they sing in the morning. One thing that that guy is not testing is heat in engines.
