why? superman returns gets an unfair rap. i thought it was actually fairly well done. certainly much better than superman 3/4. i'm hopeful about this movie too...but who knows? sometimes most all the pieces are in place, and a movie falls down because of one small piece. hulk 2003 failed because of the director. skyfall failed because of the plot.

p.s.

i think i'm more eager to see star-trek....

Brandon Routh was a horrible choice for Superman, and he tried (and failed) to be a Clark Kent like Christopher Reeve's version. Audiences were also tired of the same old Lex Luthor crap. With all the advances in movie production, Superman needed a villain that could really put his powers to the test. Agree with the Superman 3/4 part, but I did enjoy the third one where he turned evil and ended up fighting himself in the junkyard. The fourth... no redeeming qualities.

i prefer brandon routh as superman over christian bale as batman. bale is a decent bruce wayne...but horrible as batman.
