Analyzed the problem with the fuel pump by tearing it open... apparently the sock had come off and allowed it to suck something up into the pump, disabling the pump gears. Obviously, this overstrained the motor to the point where it just melted. Got the replacement fuel pump today and put it in.

Uhhh.. yep. :-P I will have some pull/tuning videos up tomorrow, hopefully. Depends on the weather, I suppose. Also... if you put a 5 speed into a 2G, do you have to change the cluster? Or was I actually going 80 and it just felt like 40?

More problems. After changing the rod bearings and fixing my oil pump issue, I take the car for a drive to begin tuning the fuel map. After about 15 miles, I hear something that sounds like a fan belt screeching intermittently.

I stop the car, pop the hood to take a look. While looking, the car bogs, then catches back up... the bogs again and dies. I attempted to start the car back up, and heard nothing more than a clanking sound. Cams did not move. Naturally, my father's truck is broken right now, so while I personally have a flatbed, I have nothing to haul it with.
