How did you come to realize the sensor wasn't operating?

I have an AEM. The knock voltage stayed at a constant 0.02V. I just hooked up a known working one to the harness and tapped on it, voltage stayed the same, so I assume that the wiring got hacked up at some point in the car's past (It used to have an HKS F-CON system).

I just cut the oil filter open and didn't find any copper, though. Weird.

EDIT: Toni, I'd just like you to know that I've always adored your gauges :P Can you PM me with info on your setup/how you did it??
