Cleanest Way to Run Fuel Pump Hotwire

How does the stock wiring run? From the tank through some grommet into the car and then under the hood? I wouldn't think it would run the length of the underside.

I don't really like having my wiring coming out of that access panel in the trunk and would like to run it with the stock wiring if it's not too much of a PITA..

Mine is run very clean. I ran it through the grommet behind the battery and it runs all the way with the stock wiring under the door sills. I even went as far as tucking it with the wiring under the plastic covering. It the goes behind the rear quarter trim, into the trunk, and then the relay is mounted under the access panel to one of the studs that holds the pump to the tank. You wouldn't ever think it was aftermarket.

I ran mine through passenger side grommet and ran it under the carpet. It is very clean because you can't see it.

Mine is like Atrosity's, but on the other side of the car. Thank you previous owner for the abandoned high grade power wire!

The whole idea of upgrading to the thicker wire is to increase ampage under load so you benefit from the direct current from the battery.

The stock wiring runs pretty much full circle around the car. You probably don't want to follow that. The fuel pump circuit is part of the trunk/tail light harness. You will probably have to remove all the plastic panels from the trunk to gain proper access. There should be a connector in the very rear corner, behind the L-shaped access panel where the ecs computer connects. That goes to the fuel harness and probably through a grommet to the outside (I say probably because I have never actually looked for this grommet). You could probably go through that to the outside with the power wire from the battery or even place the relay at this location rather than outside the car.

RL7 could you explain a little more? I'm slightly confused without actually looking at it.

I will either run it completely with the stock wiring so I don't have to have it sticking out of the access panel or run it behind the battery/door sill/trim/etc.

Sounds like I ran mine similar to Atrosity's. I mounted the relay on a corner mount of the ECS computer but the only wires you can see are when you pull the storage tray in the hatch that goes to the fuel pump door I like it because I can't tell its there hahah

ahaha Yup! I ran my sub wire and that wire at the same time so its clean, its on the side under the carpet so you just don't see it at all.
