What a bunch of rhetoric!

The OP (Jeff) brought up a suggestion, and it's up to Alan to implement it or not. As Stealthee posted, it could be a part of the "Chatter" section. Either way, I don't see the harm if providing a venue for people to send care packages to the troops. It would be much more meaningful to get a personalized care package, than to get a package addressed "To any Sailor/Soldier, Marine, Air Force."


Oh, and if anyone is wondering, I'm a U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer, with over 25 years active duty, and still serving!

I think a section in chatter would be cool.

I took my asvab about 2 months ago and just did MEPS yesterday. My recruiter requested my dates for basic so the end of this week I'll be enlisting.

I'm going into the Air Force Reserve for Command Post. I have to enter as enlisted even though I have 2 four year degrees because they aren't taking people in as officers right now, its something about deserving airmen program so you have to earn it. One thing that is kind of disappointing for me is I had hoped if I enjoyed the reserve that I could go full time and from what I read and what my recruiter told me, if I join reserve, I'll never be able to go active duty. The only thing I could do is volunteer for tours.

Con Grats have fun in basic the air force is a little diffrent then army they want you to go active duty in the army. Plus you never have to deploy in the air force its on a volunteer system you never really go as a whole unit or brigade.
