Ok point taken. I actually swapped the springs that Matt had in there to the red. I took ur advice and did some research. This is an awesome post and should be posted in our forum for future The basics of boost control, wastegates and how to turn up the boost. - SR20 Community Forum - The Dash

I appreciate the criticism. It helps me realize to slow down. I really don't know why I can boost lower than what the red springs are rated at. I will hook just the wgs up with the vac source and see what it reads.

Believe me I don't want this money pit to get any larger lol. It's ok to rant, just not so harsh sometimes. I'm stubborn if u haven't noticed too lol

Ok, so today I unhooked my ebc completely. t'd off my map sensor to the wg's on the plenum. Ran only wg pressure and it was at 14.7psi. So.... I guess my springs are only at that. Wierd I thought I put the red springs in but I looked in my box and the red ones are sitting in the top shelf. So...I put the blue ones in that are rated at 15 psi. Brain fart. So I had my boost at 15 psi lo boost and I was still higher than wg. Unbelievable. Sometimes the answer is sitting right in front of u....or in the tool box lol.

Right on. Gonna change my oil tomm. Hooked it all back up to run higher boost again.

Took the wife to dinner last night in it and tested thw wgs with her in the car and wow, total difference at only 14.7 psi. Felt like a normal car. Wife still hates the feeling when boost kicks in lol.

well, car now is acting normal lol. Put my lo settings to 0% (wastegate only) and was right at 14.7psi. Exactly what I was running when i did the wg only test in the above post. Saturday turned up the boost and hit 27.5 psi. so...no more boosting issues. Also, put in a new IAC motor and car purrs like a kitten now. No more 1800 rpm idles thank god.

Now all that is left to do is put in my new windshield and do my all wheel steering delete and change my oil. ahh, the little things. (someone dropped off 5 brand new, 5 liter jugs of Rotella-t 15-40w oil and about 4 new 1 qt bottles too at my work. That was nice they were just sitting in my delivery bay in a trash bag(even had some fuel filters. mUst have been in a deisal truck trade in). so they made their way into the trunk of my car lol. shit thats 5 oil changes for free! Lucky thats what ive been using in my car for like 3 years with no spun bearings.
