Race car has trouble with JDM harness

    [IMG][/IMG]
The JDM engine I bought came with a harness, and because every plastic plug is in better shape, I tried to use it...
Everything plugs in on the engine fine, but I have 2 issues:
    #1[IMG][/IMG]
Orange plug from the old harness
    [IMG][/IMG]
Green plug from the new harness
    [IMG][/IMG]
Where it plugs in the car next to the fuse box in the engine compartment
    #2[IMG][/IMG]
The new harness comes with 2 little plugs
    [IMG][/IMG]
instead of one plug on the old harness...

This where it should plug in at the passenger's feet.

Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm not trying to add a turbo, I'm not trying to convert to a 6G74, I'm only trying to replace a 94 6G72 by a 93-97 6G72!

I ran into this a few years back when doing a JDM engine swap and her to swap into USDM car without cutting in splice in the connectors there's no way to do it properly I should also add that unless you can get ahold of a JDM wiring schematic you're going to have a lot of problems placing it

    Thanks!
The people who sold me the engine told me that the harness is different because it came from a right hand drive car. But my team mates think those plugs are different because it came out of an automatic car.
Anyway, we use the harness of a parts car I had behind my garage, and the car started up directly!
    Road Atlanta, here we come!

Thanks IPD, but it may look better in picture! I'm racing that car in Chumpcar, and it's limited to cars under $500. I'm part of a team of 4 drivers, my 3 team mates take care of the mechanic, I'm the "body man". I was born in Belgium so I tried to make it look like the GT40 which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1969 with Jacky Ickx at the wheel. Our "theme" became the GT30, not quite a GT40, but not a 3000GT anymore! Look us up on Facebook: Jacky Ickx GT30

Actually other cars had just tangled up (or had the same aquaplaning episode), and were stopped on the track. Keith hit a Miata on the passenger side. The cage was bent in to the shift lever, the driver was taken to the hospital, but came back to the track before the end of the race in good spirit, but with 2 broken ribs. Keith had a banged knee.
