    ahh...gotcha.. so you need an external manual way to control what mode the shock is in... for each of the three tests ...

    When the ECS gets it's signal from the TPS does it get that via the ECU or direct? ie with an aftermarket standalone ECU will the ECS work normally? mine doesn't work but I would like to get it working again.

    It gets it directly from the TPS. ECS controller is tied into the TPS feed wire for the ECU. Which is why if the ECS computer goes out it can cause signal interference.

    The Throttle Position Sensor output wire (pin2 ) splits into two signal feeds. One feed into the ECU unit and One as input into the ECS unit ( PIN59 on connector F-13 ). So adding aftermarket ecu shouldn't prevent your ECS controller from working.

    For those of you that are interested - if your adding the LED lights (retrofit or OEM addon) to the coin tray /cigarete lighter assembly -like I did for my install-- I have fabricated a bunch of the plexiglass inserts. I've got them in a Smoke color and Bronze colored plexiglass and are 1/8" thick. They turned out better than what I originally did.
