OEM head gaskets always seem to be good. Other brands seem to be hit-miss. Only use mls gaskets. I have non-oem gaskets AND reused the stock bolts with no problem. I also do extra work to make sure I have consistent torque.

DONT shave the heads. If you have warpage you might have to but do it minimally. You need all the timing components in their right places for cam timing and belt tension.

Sorry the other two got mixed up in your quest for real info.

Don't try to put words in my mouth, just to try to make yourself look smart. We all kmow you know something.
Just never seen an ATX have ANY good exceleration do to the crazy high first gear.
I know what they can do. Not new at this game. We still have our ATX that had been built for drag racing. Still have the high speed stall converter.
Been there, done that. And don't just talk about what you can do. Show us, like I do. Untill then, your nothing but hot air.
And now you are talking about turbo power behund one. That's cool and all. But this is an NA thread. Show me an NA Auto that moves. LOL.Show us.

It's sounds like you are getting your game plan together.
    Keep us posted!
I had wondered about a 3.5 in a FWD ATX instead of turbos.
I think it would make a fun combination.

Hi Forever- I'm probably going to be at the SSCC myself - either as a spectator or a driver - not sure just yet because of my salt flats efforts. Make sure your cooling system is in good shape - 90 miles at elevated speeds, well you know what happens then. We'll see you there.

Really enjoyed your thread - looks like a good build. Personally, I'd not worrry too much about the head gaskets.
