    I'd only replace the feed with new turbos.

    Yeah, if you have caked oil in your downpipe, along with shaft play, then it sounds like your turbo may be on teh way out. Of course it could be anything engine related, but I'd start there if a compression check turns out ok.

    Based on your description, you're reaching into tight spaces to get at basically every bolt. If you take the 2 minutes necessary to (remove the 4 most accessible bolts on the car, disconnect a couple electrical plugs, and) set the radiator & fan assembly on top of the engine, you have all the space in the world to get to every motor mount fastener. What is it about what I've described that you think is hard or messy? Don't get me wrong, your method sounds easy too, but when a 3S presents an opportunity for you to have space to work in, I take it.

    Removing the rad is easy, less than 10 mins and gives you a hell of a lot more room.

    I would agree with Adam, rad out of the way so easy to do and give you GOBS of room.
