Honestly, if the crack isn't super severe, I would not worry about it. Those rubber mounts are impressively strong. I got lazy and dropped my exhaust by cutting them, but I had to use a razor blade and saw through them, broke a couple blades doing it too. I cut half way through both sides and pulled myself up on them suspending myself in the air. (I am not a small person) They can take a damn beating.

Looks the same as many other cars use... like an Evo or STI... IIRC The BRZ uses the style too. I know that style is also used on my dad's Toyota Pickup... There's even poly mounts of that style available.

I probably have a couple good rubber hangers still hanging from my car now that aren't in use. Are they all the same size? I can send you one.

Maximal was able to get me a pair of new OEM rubber hangers for $27 shipped (I <3 Terry), so I went with that.

While perfecting the fitment of the exhaust system tonight, I managed to tighten one of the male-female v-band flange pairs while they were slightly misaligned. I didn't even know that was possible and had no idea until I felt the leak. After correcting the misalignment, a minor leak persists, so I can only assume I damaged the mating surfaces.

Assuming they're damaged, is there any sort of thin crush washer or gasket available for v-band flanges or am I stuck using the right stuff to seal it up? I've got TRS sealing my DP to the O2 housings (based on a Matt Monett recommendation back in the day), so I know it can handle the heat.

Thanks but those are 3", I need 4". Looks like high temp RTV is the answer if it doesn't seal itself.

To me there is nothing better than replacing old worn stock parts with new ones from Mitsu. The day I stopped buying used OEM parts was the day my car started getting nice.

Completely agree! And I think this is why there are too few examples of well maintained examples. Not enough people take the time or can afford to use new parts

I'm curious how that would hold up in an exhaust.
