When Ray puts it together... he has been sitting on my parts and $ for quite some time, but I've been telling him to focus on other, more demanding, customers. I'd have to kick a car out of the garage to make room for an engine I don't plan to install for months. The original shorty has at least a couple more track dates in her.

Took the wife for a ride tonight (ha). It pulled hard but broke up a little up top. I'm guessing blow out as there wasn't any knock. I'll replace the plugs and oil asap.

My wife got hesitant at bpu (stated mildly), she already is telling me hell no to riding with on the new build.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

For some reason I thought you had it back already. My wife loves my car and one of the main reasons I'm putting ac back in it (hope it all seals back up!). Had to buy AWS delete to offset weight Although it's still a heavy weight compared to yours!

Good to hear the car is still doing well.

I agree it really looks cool.

Adam may I ask where you got it from?

I thought you wanted to keep your car somewhat stockish xD

Nothing happens quickly with this car anymore

Replaced the battery (biennial tradition it seems). I should probably get a battery tender or something to keep them charged since I only drive the car 1-4 times a month.

I just pulled the spark plugs (NGK R BKR6E-11)... These are heat range 6 (stock), have resistors, and slightly projected tips. Basically the worst plug I could have been using, haha. Thought they looked pretty interesting. ~450 miles, last ~100 on 100% C16.

So what is this, a combination of lead fouling (C16) and excessive temps?

I've got a set of these (resistorless, non-projected) on the shelf I'll likely be tossing in:
NGK R5671A-8 Non Projected Tip set of 6 (4554) - Ninja Performance - Affordable Performance Auto

    Thanks for any input,
    Adam

Replaced the plugs (.022-.023" gap) and changed the oil (mobile1 15/50)... pulls clean again to redline at 1.9 bar

Green plug straps are definitely a sign of racegas oxidation. Those plugs look pretty hot. Careful with that. Better to have your plugs too cold and foul then too hot and blow a hole in a piston. How much boost were you pushing on those? You'll like the JDM NGK non-projected resistor 8's. Nice plugs for the 25+ psi guys..

1.2 to 2+ bar. I'm always watching for knock (scanmaster) and let off for more than 2 counts. Sometimes I drive through a bit more, but I've always been reasonably careful... Yeah, the car felt quite strong on the new plugs.
