With great risk comes great reward

I wonder what Fed EX brought me?

    Remember this thread?

The original box is still sealed, well was.

    All the included goodies.

Last pic showing the taped plugs.

Like everyone here I was very skeptical about this, I sent him an E-bay message about the option of picking one up. Well after about half a dozen messages back and forth, we settled on a price and shipped it next day air for free.

I will reveal my price if asked, anyone else take the risk?

I would NEVER hear the end of it if I sold / gave away my daughters favorite Disney princess sticker / color book.

Ya i bought one from a guy on 3si, was "new" in box. Well it was just in a box, and to make a long story short after i sent it to AEM to diagnose the problem, the main board was fried, and it was also for a 2g DSM, not a 3000gt.

Good choice going with the AEM though, if its tuned right, you will not ever want a stock ECU car again. With the new software release for the series 2, they startup almost instantly like a stock ECU, as well as run a lot smoother.

-Ricer Evo 8: 8.75 @ 166 Best MPH of 167. Quickest 4G63 Powered Evo in The US!!!
-Chris Cessna's Stock short block Evo 8: 9.76@150 Worlds Fastest Stock Motor Evo 8 and First Stock Block In The 9's!
-Shawna's DD Evo 8: 9.97@143.88 Best MPH of 145 Full leather interior, A/C, navigation, stock brakes, cruisin 9's in style
-Cory's Stock 7 bolt talon: 10.3@136 No crank walk here...
-STM Stock turbo/motor Stealth RT: 10.95@127 Worlds Quyickest/Fastest and most powerful Stock turbo/ motor 3S
-James STM built Pump gas Evo8 stock motor: 10.2@137 Stock long block, and only on pump gas!
    -Mike Faggiano Evo3 16g stock motor 1g 11.0@124 just a 16g knockin on 10's door.
    And the list goes on...

How do you get the EMS to control boost? I am assuming you would need the AEM Tru-Boost controller. Also If I may ask what other AEM sensors are needed to make the most use of the V2 (the WO2 is a given)? I already plan on getting a Serial Datastream Gauge. I love the idea of being able monitor so much with one gauge.
