This truck needs a 7.3 direct ignition powerstroke engine with turbo
One of them is a bucket truck lol

The first one is nice but no 4wd, those are cheaper than they are here though.

knoxville cars & trucks - all classifieds "powerstroke" - craigslist

What's wrong with a bucket truck, lmao. The engine is in the back of the dually, just gotta get dirty to rebuild and reinstall.

Anyways, point was they can be had if you can wait for the deal or travel to get one.

1995 crew cab powerstroke diesel Looks like an OK truck, but 2WD and has miles.

if towing, I suggest a 2wd truck. better milage, ride better, easier maint. I probably use 4wd on my 2 trucks maybe once a year, and that's purely because I run used tires with like no tread on them. 90% of the time I'm in 4x4 is to use low range to back a trailer up a hill. The 4r100 likes to puke fluid temporarily out a seal pushing a large load in reverse. I put manual hubs on one of the trucks just to get low range 2wd. I don't know how you plan to use the truck so I can't really comment.

And pre 05 4x4 trucks have the turning circle of a small city.

Yeah I was looking at that one, there's another one in there that looks pretty good also.

It probably won't make a long trip but once a year to NG and I'm not sure about that, mainly used around here. The 4wd is important but not a deal breaker. It will mainly haul trash to the dump and pull stuff around once and a while.

edit: oh and yeah the turning ratio sucks lol

    1994 duelly MUST SELL!!

    2000 Ford F-250 Engine: 7.3L

I'd inquire about the second one personally. You might want to take a trip to the beach Paul!

Honestly I'd rather have the one I'm looking at instead of the first one but the second one does sound good. I hate no pic!

Trip to the beach sounds good though

i actually really like those engines. they are not as good on fuel as the newer stuff but they are mega reliable and really simple mechanical injection. theres no wiring to make it run besides 12v to the fuel solniod.

i have a hypermax turbo on mine with the fuel pump cranked up (allen key instead of programmer lol) im getting 16mpg on 38" tires and 4.56gears

You're sutch a redneck Ray. lol

I've heard about getting more power by just bumping the fuel pressure up. I'll look into that after I fix the leaky injector. I got the parts in yesterday to fix it.
