If someone wants an iphone and need a smart phone but they aren't tech savvy, then sell them a 4s. If they are a apple fan, they may want to look at the 5. I know of no one who owns an android device that isn't tech savvy that doesn't complain about their phone.

Some may want to make fun of ignorant people requesting iPhones but I think they are asking for the right device.
on the other hand, they're also too stupid to realize how much they're going to pay through the nose in the long run being tied to apple. (read: can only use apple products in the future, unless you want to discard all of your itunes, etc). apple realizes this, and has been ritualistically taxing stupidity since at least 2006.

i care because every dollar spent on apple is effectively condoning their practice of competition via litigation. i have a MAJOR problem with that.

Buying an Apple product doesn't force you to be "tied to Apple" any more than buying a Google product "ties you to Google."

Contacts, calendars, music, videos, etc can all easily be transferred to another platform, as Apple does use open-standards (vCards, vCalendars, non-DRM mp3's/videos, etc).

You also don't have to use iTunes. You can rip your own CD's and import them onto your iPhone/iPod without it (DoubleTwist, MediaMonkey, Floola, etc).

Unless you're thinking about something else?

+1 I can't easily move music I purchase in either system to the other system.

the issue isn't one of moving android > ios. the only issue worth noting is if android can move to MS/windows.

if yes, then it's not an argument.

Are you saying the issue is then that of moving from iOS to Android? Because that isn't true either.

no, i'm saying that if there isn't an issue moving from android to windows--then there's no point in bringing it up. windows is the default standard for OS, and having your programs work within that environment without cumbersome add-ons (ala special programs, dual-boots, etc) should be expected.

i really honestly don't give 2 farts from a mouse if "program-xyz" doesn't work in ios. if you WANT apple interoperability, then by apple--and only apple. thus, any argument about "android doesn't move to ios" shouldn't even be a sticking point to anyone. the only sticking point is if android won't play nice with windows. if it DOESN'T...then by all means, go win mobile and be done with it.

apple has INTENTIONALLY made it difficult for non-apple things to interact. it's not an accident, it's a strategy.

If you buy a song in the Google Play store you have to manually download it or you're always going to stream it. You still need to jump through hoops to move music from one system to the other.

Let's drop this pointless bullshit and laugh at ictponder's stupid customers
