Truth. I've put 20k on my car, no issues at all, besides a crummy battery that ate a battery terminal and a little puff of smoke here and there for no real reason that I can track down. Preventative maintenance completed all the time, worn out parts replaced, and you're good to go, assuming you don't beat on it.

The TT I just bought needs some work, so I will be keeping the base to drive while the TT is in the shop. Very satisfying feeling to know I will be keeping my base for a while longer... She is a great car! I will hate to see her go! I think with the age of our cars it boils down to how well have they been treated.... A base that is cherry > a TT that has been thrashed! Any day, ALL day!

Nowadays, I really hate my car more than I love it. I'm hoping to be able to park it soon.

It's been so long since I've driven it, I've all but forgotten what it feels like.

I do have a vague remembrance of fun and coolness though.

If you love the car you have, then it doesn't matter what type of car it is. My buddy owed the biggest POS 80 something toyota that barely worked at all. BUT he absolutely loved it.
    Funny really.

I won't lie - I can't tell you how many riced out cars I've seen down here and thought "If I were in my 3000..." I truly enjoy my car*

I love my base, and plan on keeping it even after I get my vr4.
