    Rally?

I'm going to post an "Other- type of racing" thread. I seem to have a slight interest in rally. And then I thought, "Would a vr-4 do well in a rally competition?"
Whether that is yes or no,
    I do not know,
    but I'm a poet,
    and don't even know it.

Anyway, thoughts on rally? And as a 3/s as a rally car?
“What's the use of a fine house if you haven't got a tolerable planet to put it on?”

Once rallycross starts up again in the SCCA I'm gonna be doing it. We probably won't be nearly as good as evo's but with AWD we'll be better then most cars.

While the cars were not built for it, its hard not to be competitive with awd and two turbos.
Im not sure how Itd fare in some of the tighter turns, but Im not speaking from experience.

Where are you located? CT has a fairly popular winter rally coming up. Actually the more digging I do the more rally's I find.

IIRC there was a guy a couple months ago rally racing a stealth. He would post up vids from the races and such (on the drama site). From what I remember it did fairly well.

Well I think it could be better than evo's. On tarmac it would have ridiculous traction and on the dirt its all about the slide.

I was driving on a dirt road today and realized how awesome that would be.

You're a little nutty if you think it could do better than EVO's. EVO's were built to rally. 3s's were built to be Grand Tourers.

I can tell you right now, that there's absolutely no way a VR4 would even come close to competing with an Evo for rallying. It's not what it's designed to do. The VR-4 was designed to be a luxury yacht, not a nimble racing machine.
