Angry I hate having a bad 2nd gear sychro!!!

I love my new 91 Stealth TT, but it has a bad second gear synchro and it makes me look like I can't drive a 5 speed very well because I have to pause for so long to shift!!! It sucks because I want to row the shifter and instead it's more like:

WhaaaaaapWhoosh, let me do a fucking crossword puzzle while everyone thinks I can't find 2nd, Whaaaaapwhoosh, whaaaaaaaaaapwhoosh,Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaap.......

Or worse, When my instinct takes over sometimes and I throw it down just to hear the cringe inducing sound of gears being tortured!

    I HATE IT!
    Dave

What is the least expensive, buying a trans or repairing the synchro? Does it break down to having to rebuild the whole tranny to fix the problem?

Can you just slam it hard enough that it doesn't grind? Will that kill the tranny by eating chunks off the gears?

That had to hurt your feelings! LOL So what do you do, replace trans or replace synchro?

well, I replaced the syncro at the same time as installing the billet end case + front LSD + Center LSD

second did not feel any different nor have any trouble going into it even when they said it was completely worn...so maybe your engagement Hub is also damaged?
