Thumbs up 1g silverstar headlights(before and after)

This is the silver star headlights (h4666st). Ive been runnning them for a year and have had no problems. I think the 50$ for the pair i spent were well worth it.Btw the pis are a little blurry but they serve there purpose

I recently did this upgrade too. I really didn't notice much of an increase in brightness or whiteness. I'm not sure but perhaps the previous owner put aftermarket lights on before I upgraded them. They are a little bit brighter, but they don't seem to cover as much area as my old ones.

Well I had some basic sylvania's before. They were not anything special and they were pretty old as you can see. The new ones i bought made a difference in my case. There also alot whiter then the old ones. There advertised as 4k for the color.

silverstars are quite decent for what they are, but nowadays you can get HID kits for around that price. granted it will throw more glare and all, but it does make more sense from a cost and output standpoint.

I have never seen h.i.d.s for a 1ga dsm or 1g 3000gt for 50 dollars. I must be overlooking something then.

I liked the Silverstars but got tired of changing them every year. They just don't last very long.
At $60 a pair (they must have come down a bit) you COULD buy HIDs before long...
I'm running the Xtra Views now. Not quite as bright but much more durable.

A year you say? If you see them on sale pick up a pair. If your luck's like mine you'll be needing them...
(They don't get dull, they just pop..)

this is where I got my recent HID kits. I just dont know what bulb the 1G 3000GT uses, but Im pretty sure they should carry it.

Well once it would all be done with its going to cost more than 50 dollars. YOu would have to purchase the ballasts, headlight housing, and the bulbs. You cant just pull the bulbs and switch them. I think ultimatly these are an excellent alternative for the people that dont want to do all that.
