    High compression turbo motor?

Alright since I am planning on using E98 for fuel in my stealth I was thinking about bumping the compression up since I am using alcohol. I know lots of people have done it with other cars, I think the STM Ricer was/is high compression but I can't remember. I was hoping to get a set of MAhle pistons in a 10:1 compression ratio. It will obviously be run with a full EMS and tuned by a professional. Now before everyone calls me a dumbass and that I should keep it low compression. I would like to get some serious answers from people who have any experience with this.

    Mod list now
    Cp pistons
    Pauter rods
    New forged Crank
    4 bolt block

Turbo will be either a Big single or twin t3 turbos.
Power goals are pretty high 800-1000 range.

    Current:
    1972 Chevy Nova
    2004 Ford F350 Lariat 6.0L
    1991 Stealth TT FWD
    1962 Volkswagen Beetle

    Previous:
    1994 Stealth RT/TT
    1999 3000gt SL
    1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle
    1976 Jaguar XJ6
    1991 Chevy S10
    2000 Ford focus

ive seen some CP pistons that are basically flat tops that would get you pretty close to that.

when the Mahle pistons were in there design stage with GT Pro, the specs were that they could support a 1500 hp motor, that in mind the compression was statically set higher with the idea in mind that the guys using these parts would be running cams.

with E85 you could run higher compression, but i wouldnt go out of my way to do it.

with two 60mm Comp turbos at 17 to 19 psi you would be over 1000 hp on paper.

Ive seen a MK1 supra with a stock bottom end on E85 at 18 psi running one 60 mm turbo make 520 at the tire.

I wanted to do this as the high compression will almost act as the characteristics of adding more displacement to my engine, but instead I am just upping the compression. I am switching to a 4 bolt block right now thats why I am think about doing it now as my engine is disassembled.

i see where your coming from. but the beauty of turbo charging is to get big torque without displacement.

IMO set the bottom end up strong, and O-ring your block or do the head lift fix, get the right turbos, and play with timing.

i really dont think going out of your way to get hi compression pistons for this application is worthwhile...no disrespect intended.

id concentrate on cylinder fill, and timing, you will get your torque.

I agree, When I was 10:1 I had a bunch of fun with it but you sort of hit a wall as far as how much boost you can run and tuning is a bit more tricky.

But were you doing that with gas? E98 is a different animal. Other platforms are doing it.

To the OP, since it sounds like you have made up your mind, you are not going to find first hand knowledge on a 3S. You would be better off looking at supra forums or even some domestic if you want advice on how to do it versus if you should.
    1992 Kilder Green VR4 - First 4G swap in a 3S. 2.0, auto, awd. 9.65 at 143mph. Now LS swapped. 8.52 at 162.

I am not really set in stone by any means, I am just trying to bounce some ideas off of other knowledgeable people to get the best conclusion.

I do know people that have done it with ethanol (BTW OP you do mean ethanol, right?) and they are now back to 8:1. He wanted opinions, I gave him mine.
