    My classic mini mini

Not quite finished yet, but let me know what you think

    Uh, oh. Speed bump.

    Never mind.

    Whats that doing there?

1.3 litres of fuel injected fury (fine! only 1275cc, but close enough).

Custom, "one of a kind", Austin Mini. Modeled after the fiberglass sprint shell mini's of yester-year. It has a 2" body chop with a 4" roof chop. all on a custom hydraulic suspension with each wheel hydraulically seperated from the others.

    Got any questions? Just ask.

EDIT (July 4): Just thought i would let you guys know i got myself on the news today for this car. It was for a segment of a show called "Look East" on BBC one. As soon as I can get a good link of it up then i will. It only about 2-3 min. but i think its still pretty cool. I also got an interview from a reporter with ITV (another brittish channel) but im not sure yet if that one is making it to TV.

EDIT 2: more pics on page 4

nice. why didn't you make it 1/2 a long? then you could call it a "micro mini".

is that an OEM engine? if not, what prompted the choice? does a 2.0L DSM longblock not fit?

if it was half as long it just wouldn't be as fun a car to drive. with it like this it handles and drives better than any mini i have ever been in. the "micro minis" as you say do exist though. but i think they look ugly as hell.

and yes it is an oem block. though it is out of a 98 so it is fuel injected with proper highway gearing unlike the 60 mph at 4000 rpm carb engines. we are playing with different ideas right now. there is a kit for an R1 bike engine available that might still fit under the chopped front end. thats about all i can fit under the hood with out sacrificing more cabin space though
