Spyder w/ 99 conversion - keep the stock rear garnish or go with 99 garnish?

I've converted my 95 Spyder to a full 99 front end. What do you guys think of putting my 99 rear center garnish on also? I filled in the key hole that was on the 99 with a black plastic piece behind the hole so it looks pretty normal. Spyders obviously do not have a keyhole for the rear hatch.

Think it would look odd switching to the 99 reed center garnish?

I personally prefer the '99 rear garnish on the Spyders. Here is mine:

I capped the key hole with a trim clip similar to the one that holds the trunk carpeting to the frame.

    99 base - original owner 60k // 94 SL - sold // 95 VR4 Spyder - sold // 95 VR4 - 73k // 95 VR4 Spyder - sold // 91 SL - sold // 96 SL - sold // 93 SL - sold // 94 SL - DD - 61k // 96 RT/TT - #35/57 - 77k

Not a fan of the 99 Garnishes unless it's on a first gen. IMO it makes the car looker older and cheaper.

Agreed! I've seen a couple Spyders with that and its pretty badass. Fits so nicely it almost looks stock.

Yeah, I took that pic just after reapplying the decals. The old Spyder VR4 decal fell apart while removing it so I got a replacement from 3000GTspyderregistry.com and can barely tell the difference. I also changed the decal colors to grey to tone it down a bit...

Anything is better than the stock Spyder rear garnish. That big bubbley Mitsu logo is damn ugly in my opinion. I've seen Spyders with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen garnish and all look pretty good I think.
