3000GT VR4 VS. Stealth TT Main Gauge Cluster

Who would have thought they were different?

This is a US Spec Stealth TT Main Gauge Cluster (top), and a JDM VR4 main gauge cluster (bottom)

Notice the red circles? That is the space for the active aero light.

You can swap the bulbs into it, I assume, you would just have to drill/pierce a hole through the green stuff.

Just a little food for thought.

Circa 2005... Oh my, how far I've come

According to my JDM GTO owner's manual, it was an available option, although I'm sure it was discontinued after 1995 like ours. Do you know what year car the cluster came from?

    There's no replacement for displacement.

the JDM one has active aero (same as the VR4s). The stealth one (the one above that doesn't have a bulb in the spot), doesnt have a bulb/cut out for the active aero light bulb indicator... so, if you were to install it in a VR4... if it got a signal that there was an issue with the active aero, the light would never turn on... since there isn't one there.

That's the "Looking Good!" light, which, of course, the 3000GT doesn't have.

cut the hole out, removed the green plastic from over the copper so it makes contact with the bulb... problem solved

So yea... just an fyi to anyone buying a gauge cluster... they're different, but it's fixable.

Just as well the GTO has an even bigger "looking good" bulb than the Stealth

Or just undo the screws and move the plastic circuit board over.
