Your 3S hasn't run since I've known you... like what, 5 years? More? How can you whine so much about it 'letting you down'? It's not doing anything, good or bad!

The vehicross is unique, I'll give you that. Your color preferences are questionable at best, but I've heard good things about the vehicles overall. Glad you're happy with it!

My 3/s runs...or at least at last update it was. But the 3.5L 16G build isn't in it; it's still running the stocker with 9b's. Lots of blame to go around on that. Exuberant (read irrational) optimism about throwing money at a project, and the details working themselves out. Several repeatedly poor choices on sourcing parts/labor--one of which members here have taken GREAT pains to sweep under the rug. The electrical system is so modded and bastardized that it takes a mad scientist to make heads/tails of it all. And it didn't help that the last time I drove it (2013) the wheel bearings gave up the ghost & the transfer case sustained a catastrophic failure, stranding me about 2.5 hours from the airport I needed to be at. But that wasn't even the start of it. The FWD trans went out on it about a year after I got it in 2003--that was heartbreak #1. GT-Pro selling me GT-C's that don't fit a VR4 was another heartbreak (one I didn't catch for years). My 1999 sitting at WSR for 8 months without a single wrench turning on it, then being shipped back to me at my cost--that was another huge heartbreak. And after a certain point, you simply get so many crushed dreams & setbacks that you simply stop caring. There are times that if someone came to me with $10,000 cash, I'd sell every bit of 3/s stuff I have; stroker, car, cosmetics, everything--because it's just too painful to even think about anymore. I have 2 fully built ATX's (one in the car, one on the shelf)--and I don't even care. And god forbid i ever get it up and running where I want it--then I have the asspain of insuring a car so heavily modded that it becomes a nightmare to document it all & properly insure it.

Lesson learned though, the worlds' perfect sports car may be 600AWHP. True enough, but since the 3/s doesn't do that in OEM form, it's just a tedium of labor (and money) to get it there & keep it there. And then there's all of the cosmetic tweaks that I'd like to get done to it--but may never happen either. That's the problem with being an INTP/INTJ means that I envision what I want, but don't possess the skills or alacrity to accomplish it on my own. I've lived long enough to be viscerally aware of how intellectually lonely it is in the world--and I'd gladly give up a couple dozen IQ points to simply have the mechanical/engineering expertise to craft things. My IQ isn't doing jack shit for me.

That's why the VX isn't getting any lift kits, aftermarket shocks, mud tires, light bars, superchargers, CAI's, roof racks, etc. I'm keeping it 100% mechanically stock. And any 2-bit mechanic that can work on a trooper, rodeo or passport can fix it.

Purple haters are homophobes. Not because purple is a gay color (it's actually a lesbian color) but because such people do not posses the testicular fortitude to ever display it proudly. At least, that has been my experience. Ironic that someone who drives a 3/s (being the attention-grabbing car that it is), would ever assume that an attention-grabbing color like purple...is "questionable at best".

You truly love to grasp at straws to justify your decisions.

This is the newest picture I have of my cockpit. I love the feel of the pistol grip in my hand, and the open ended steering wheel is definitely one of my top 3 features of the vehicle.

LOL that you make such giant leaps and claims with purple being homophobic. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So blue is manly, pink is girly, purple is lesbian (and homophobic)... what is green? Yellow? Red? Orange?!?!

Thadd, you can have the highest IQ in the world... acting like a dick just because you can defend your stance means jack shit. Purple is not that great of a color... it just isn't. The compliment of it is yellow, which people like me (gingers) can't wear very well because my skin tone makes me look ridiculous with it. There are reasons beyond your homo-biased mindset as to why people think things.

And I have a purple dress shirt that I like very much... but it is not your gaudy, attention-grabbing, obnoxious shade of purple you so vehemently defend.

I find myself wondering how Prince bore his purple preference so gracefully...don't think he had any contrarian gingers choosing him off, though...

Hmmm... I wonder how we explain someone that would paint a 96 RT/TT purple...? I have to admit, it's been growing on me.

I just snapped this pic in my parking lot a few minutes ago.

It did indeed... For whatever reason he's decided the 99 swap is too played out. He's going back to a Stealth bumper. I'm pretty much of the opinion that a 2G Stealth is the one car that the 99 bumper looks the best on. I think it looks more at home on a 2G Stealth than it does on a 99.... Everyone gets to have their own opinion though, and build their car to their own taste...
