First off it's sad that people think that much money a month is "making it". Second the system really needs fixed. Investing in mandatory job training, and a length of services limit is a start. Also, all low skill labor govt jobs should be filled by people who have limited out on services, and can't, or won't find a job.

It's sad that people like you that think essentially free housing, $876 in food stamps, and $756 in cash aid isn't ridiculous. She is making more money NOT WORKING than I was working in food stamps and cash aid alone. Let's not forget to mention that her utilities are basically free too.

Ladies and gentlemen, Exhibit "A". This is why the USA will never have a fiscally responsible administration at the helm ever again. And to top it all off, the majority of the population is of such a parochial aptitude that it believes--still--that military spending is what has caused the financial ruin we face. This despite said budget being far eclipsed by entitlements.
