Chrome v2 for 91-93 ECU fan control - ECU pin numbers

    Hey all,
I wish to do the 1g fan control wiring back to the ECU. I have chrome ecu v2 on a 91-93 GTO wiring harness.
Read the instructions for doing this and the only part I don't know is what ECU pin# to run the wires into.

I did a search on here but couldn't find where it was mentioned by anyone who had done this.

    Thanks

    Dougal

    Hey mate, hope this helps!
1G Fan Control | THE ORIGINAL VR4 Clone? ECU

Any reason why? I'm just leaving mine to the temp sensors, not that often they fail.

I want to be able to switch it on and off in evoscan. Also want to be able to change the switch on temp in the rom so it comes on at a lower temp. Not a lot lower just enough to know its getting air to it better as local city driving here is all stop start stop start arghhh!!!
If it starts causing issues with the temp I lower it to then I can change it back pretty easily.

Um sorry mate the link to the page on cloned ecu site doesn't mention ecu pin numbers only pins on the harness to the radiator fan itself.

So if any one knows please chime in.

I could go of wiring diagrams for a 98-99 ecu but that probably won't work as mine is a chrome ecu and I'm unsure if pin numbers for fan control are going to match from a 98-99 to the 91-93 chromed ecu I have.

Thank you so so much for linking the how to on this.
I'm at work as I write this and might get time this evening to do the wiring. Just had another child born a few weeks ago so the wifey has me on diaper duty!

I'll let you know how I go and take some pics along the process if that helps with the how to.

Ok so I finally had some time to do this today.

My particular rework of the wiring for fan control was different to the instructions but only related to the pins on the radiator fan plug, otherwise pins to the chrome ecu are the same. I'm running a 3s motor in a 2nd Gen Magna/Diamante.

My radiator fan plug and relay system doesn't have a separate relay for high/low operations but wiring up from the radiator fan plug was only one wire and ive routed this to go to the radiator 'high' pin on the chrome ecu. I figured using high radiator fan operation be ok as I have 2 replacement fans if this one burns out from over use!

The only hang up I have about doing this was choosing the route for the wiring back into the cabin. I followed stock harness route which involved pulling a fair few parts off in order to get to it and make sure it was wrapped properly.
All in all I'm happy with it.

Instructions on the chrome ecu site cover everything required to do this.

I'll get some pics up soon of the pinning to the ecu. The pin in the harness plug to the ecu I have soldered to the wire.

Please do share Dougal! I need to find out why Both my fans are triggering at once, shouldn't it just be the main fan, and then the small fan gets triggered when AC is on.
    Weird
