Aside from the conspiracy theories, has anything more concrete come out about the weapons he used? Google turns up inconclusive results, but that's just with a quick search. I'm having a heard time wrapping my head around the notion that after he killed himself, he managed to secure the AR back in the trunk. I'm not one for believing in zombies, but the coroner also noted that all wounds were caused by the AR.

As far as I can tell... (and I have no idea how reliable or who the sources are) the last claimed "official" statement by anyone was the above video. That was contradicted by the less than credible appearing M.E. and the media seems to be clinging to his statements for dear life...

I have heard from several people that recount seeing an AR pulled from a trunk in an aerial shot in broad daylight on live TV... Those same people don't equate what they saw to the video that is being shown of an apparent shotgun being pulled out of a trunk in the dark. I've been looking around, but nowhere have a found any footage of the aerial shots these people describe.

It's definetly confusing, It's no surprise the tinfoil hat crowd are in a frenzy...

so the psycho uses semi-auto handguns, and the media still goes in a frenzy over "assault weapons"--which weren't even present in the first place (because the ar-15 isn't an assault weapon).

like it or not, i'm inclined to believe said video...after all, NBC (or at least MSNBC) is the most liberal-leaning of news outlets. and publishing information like this is most damning to any liberal agendas to push for increased gun legislation.

That's why most other countries make the line between an opinion and hate speech very, very clear. As far as I know, the only law to stand the test of the 1st amendment is inciting a riot. In other countries, telling people to kill ____people because of their race, and actually having someone listen to you, is a crime in itself.

they go into a frenzy because they can. they know that most people don't know the difference between an assault rifle and a suspension bridge. thus it's easy for them to champion their cause with one liners and catch phrases.
