The main difference in AR's are the barrel and BCG. The quality steel, chrome lining, ect. I went with PSA because FN makes their barrels and they are chrome lined double the thickness of most manufacturers.

Does anyone big game hunt, and whatdya use?!?

specifically, north america...none of that "zebras in zimbabwae" stuff

I have some 30-30 rifles, but looking for something a bit better to reach out and grab some elk

I use 150Gr 30-30 to drop our pathetic dear here in florida.
and a .308 to do the same work when i go up north to my family in penn and ohio to drop the actual size dear.

if you need elk. .300WSM or 7mm would be my off the shelf choice. if not a 12Ga sabot slug.

If you werent over say 150 yards. and didnt need the gun for anything but an elk hunt i wouldnt walk much past a nice .50 cal muzzle loader.
