I think I got screwed.

Ok. I just got off the phone with the freightquote.com's claims department and I just found out more information. The shipment was 543 pounds. My longblock minus intake plenum, turbo manifolds, and turbos is about 400 or so pounds and my transmission 6spd is about 150 pounds.

How much extra weight would the big single kit weigh?
Parts include, Single Turbo Manifolds, downpipe, Reverse manifold w/ Q45 TB, intercooler piping with Tial Q, PTE Wastegate and 6765 Turbo, AEM EMS. That has to be an extra 30-50 pounds. Especially the manifolds. Freightquote thinks, the shipper never shipped it. Shipper says he shipped it in a box on the pallet.

Can someone tell me the true weight of a 6g72 and a 6spd combined minus stock turbo manifolds and intake plenum?

Ah, I vote for screwed.

Everything you mention indicates missing parts, and you should be able to prove a hard number - hard enough to demonstrate someone up the line is jerking you around.

Might take some effort, but.

That's screwed up!
We receive freight where I work all the time and a shipping company wouldn't even accept something packaged like that.

That was VERY poorly packaged.... How was said box secured to the pallet? The same way as everything else? It's probably still rattling around a truck somewhere...

It never should have been so poorly secured, and it never should have been accepted by the shipper... Getting anyone to take responsibility without pointing the finger at the other may be a different story.

If it wasn't insured, who made that decision? Every motor or trans I've ever shipped was insured at a cost of usually under $20....

Edit: You also need to get everything you received back on that pallet, and have it weighed....

And since I am a noob. never reveived a freight before, I didn't know that I could refuse the shipment if things were damaged and missing. You can even annotate it on the Bill of Lading. Well now I know. And by the way. I am now dropping names. This was the work of Eugene. This is how he shipped it to me. He didn't even wrap it or set the engine on a motor so my perfectly good oilpan is now crushed. And he told me that the box was on the pallet that is supposed to contain everything that is missing. If I weigh it and it equals the same weight as the freight told me 543lbs, then he has lied and scammed me of thousands of dollars.

Good God, he has the habits of an addict of some sort.

Best thing you can do, if possible, is drop receipts on a scale right off the truck.
