it's because you didn't paint it right. you need to wetsand/polish to make it look AWESOME.

They r actually quite glossey. This was right before I washed the car and it was fairly dusty. I dont like the tinted lights with the black paint is what I mean.... The whole smoked taillights thing is getting over done imo.

on some cars, yes. on a gloss black car when the lights are painted so they match the paint perfectly? no.
