very odd 6 speed problem
i have talked to a couple 3/s guys and havent had anyone else with this problem yet. i broke and a shift fork and i had a local place replace it and he told me my trans was great. 2 weeks later it was grinding in 2nd and 3rd. befor i could get back to him i was driving it and was shifting from 4th to 5th and hit 3rd. i then tried again and my shifter would not move to the right (i couldnt get 5th 6th or reverse). i then had family issues and was not able to deal with the guy that rebuilt it. i went out the other day and it would get every gear until it warmed up and then i lose them again. let it sit a couple days and everythings back until it warms up. this is in a 94 vr4

Im not sure what your problem is, could have broken or bent the fork again, or it could have been a poor repair.
Either way i would'nt drive the car anymore until the issue is fixed, you risk making the problem worse and damaging other parts that might not be hurt yet.

Ask them what they used for trans fluid. I had a similar issue with using straight 30 weight engine oil. That was the first and last time I did that LOL.

i will check i added a bottle of lucas to stop the grind and it never overflowed i guess it could be stupid low or he may not of put any in as dumb as that sounds but its been sitting and there is no drips or signs of it leaking either

Check your clutch adjustment. Under the peddle you know. If adjusted too low, shifting will be a bitch.
