2 to 4 bolt, timing ?
im building a friends engine right now but we used a 4 bolt block on his 92 stealth. im at the oil pump and have read that that the crank sprocket it to be set 1 tooth off if we use the 92 crank sprocket with the sec gen block and oil pump. it also said that if we use the sec gen crank sprocket with the cas wheel that the timing would be set as normal. we are keeping the 1gen ecu and cas.
now someone that works on these cars told me that the tooth needs set 1 tooth off no matter what. wtf? why did i have to buy the sec gen crank sprocket if i can reuse the old one? id rather use the 2 gen IF the marks wont need to be a tooth off. need to know asap so i can get this car done.

I believe if the marks line up you are fine. I'm not positive though.

The tooth mark on a 1G vs 2G gear are different by 1 tooth. But yes, on your 4 bolt 2G just use your 2G gear and you will be set. Line them up as usual.

Did this a couple of years ago. Read ALL of this: http://www.wrenchmonkey.com/Webpages/4bolt.html

The CAS and ECU really have nothing to do with the timing belt. Ignition timing and cam timing are two different things. A 91-92 CAS would still work with a 93+ ECU anyway.

You can use a 2nd gen sprocket on the 4 bolt and use the factory marks. If you use the 1st gen sprocket on the 4 bolt you have to install it one tooth off. The index marks are in different positions on the different block styles oil pumps.
