Ok, so none of the links or guides I have found are functioning. Can anyone tell me where the EGR plug is and maybe a pic of it? Thanks.

Are you getting a CEL for the EGR? you have a California ECU?
Just bought the car a couple days ago, still checking everything out. Looks like the previous owner disconnected the egr from the plenum and blocked it off, but didn't remove the components. I do indeed have a cel, but haven't had a chance to reprogram my logger, so I'm just assuming that's what the cel is for. It's a 94 Vr-4, non California.
In for info
Others I maybe bypassing my EGR soon and I have a 94 Rt/ tt non California car.....so whatever addresses your issue is what I need to know.
Ive been running with my egr blocked off for a while and my cel comes on randomly for the egr. I just ignore it lol
Lol, while that IS an option, I'd prefer not to have to put electrical tape over the cel light. Especially if another valid cel shows up.
If he left it plugged in then the cel would come on because of the lack of Vacuum to the system.

If you are having it smogged here in CA they check to see that your CEL comes on when you turn the key so what ever you do don't tape it!
Alright... look at your EGR valve, there should be a temperature sensor coming out of the top. Follow that line to the plug (it's on the firewall behind the TB). If you don't have a temperature sensor, the resistor mod won't work.

I wasn't really going to tape it. I know there's a plug I can wire a resistor into to remove the cel. Anyone know how? I am not in CA!
Ty dbest! Ok, so I looked, and the egr valve was previously removed, but I DID find the plug for it, it looks identical to the washer fluid sensor plug. The next question is, what size resistor do I need to cut off the signal?

The pictures don't work but the write-up is there.
April beat me to it. Been running a resistor in the SOHC for several years and kept the CEL away.
Oh that page still doesn't work... I had to use the internet archive page to pull a "snapshot" of that page. Internet Archive: Wayback Machine the next time you get a website that doesn't exist anymore.
