I just had my Shelby tuned to E85. Made 720hp and 600 TQ. I think I'm going to like :race gas: for 2.50 a gallon.http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27...Mods/012-3.jpg

Thanks. Its got a Whipple 2.9 and supporting mods. It blew the stuffing out of my Kooks high flow cats the other day.
I remember this car from the "other site". What did it pick up compared to premium? (91 or 93?)
FOG, do you find it as funny as i do how many people HATE e85?
I think it's pretty funny. I mean, I understand the disadvantages of E85 over traditional gasoline (lower energy content per unit volume being a big one) as well as the arguments for economic reprecussions, particularly with government subsidies inflating the ethanol market, but overall it's a pretty strong answer to those that were wanting to reduce our foreign dependency on oil.
I'm indifferent on the matter myself. That being said, I can't think of anyone that would hate E85 for purely mechanical reasons.
Engine bay shot? C'mon, show us the goods...

Well yes I think E85 is great so far. It makes 658 on 93 octane [3.90 a gallon] it makes 712 on 93 octane plus Torko [3.90 +2.00 a gallon] and it made 720 on E85 3.09 a gallon at Krogers. Plus Krogers gives me a 70 cents a gallon discount for reward points. So right now I'm paying 2.39 a gallon for the power of a Torko tune which is 5.90 a gallon.
Here are some pics and the mod list

Thats gotta be sick! Hows traction?
Not as good as a VR4. I can burn the 345 DR's till 75 if I want to.
Good to hear from you old timer. Car looks great. Now, I wouldn't ind hearing it as well. :icon23:
Scotty
How do you like the handling? Everyone thinks the VR-4 is heavy but it handles decently. How bad (or good) is the Shelby?
I am a drag race guy and not a road course guy. Soild > IRS for drag racing. But the 2011 Shelby did very well against the Z06 and GS corvettes at VIR But my car is a 2008 and does not handle as well as a 2011 does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR7PIZhFUdc
FastOldGuy, are you coming to/are at Mustang Week? I would love to see her at the cruise in!
Naw that is a little far for me. Sounds fun though
No worries, I'm sure there will be pictures up on mustangforums & other sites for your viewing pleasure. :)
