1st thread in the TN area. wOOt!
Thanks Alan
Is there anything that you don't post in???
;)
really? TN is in the southwest now? does that mean that georgia is in the florida keys?
Cool!
Whoa, sweet. I was starting to think it wouldn't happen.
Still not sure why you guys get your own section :p
Don't stop checking in on the South East section. We have some meets semi-close to TN coming up.
I thought I asked for a Carolina section back then, but maybe I just thought I did. So, to rectify, would you please add a Carolina section, Alan? Thanks!
I actually just noticed the TN section yesterday, lol. I try to post in nearby states when we have meets that are close enough for them. Easier when there's only the "south east" section to worry about.
Would be cool if I could pm all registered members within so many miles of each event.
Hopefully this area will be more active someday. lol
Do we really need a Carolina section??
I think just link it to the Carolina3s "Which directs you to the Facebook group" may be enough.
And congrats on the Tennessee section. You now have you own sub-forum Paul...LMAO!!!
I don't think we need one either. My monthly meet posts only get around 30 or 40 views here and all replies are from people I know are going anyway. And this is for the entire southeast...
On 3si, they're getting 100 - 200 views each time just in the carolinas. I'm hoping to round up some more active members for our area, and it looks like I'm having better luck over there.
Either way, I"ll try to keep it up unless someone else jumps in.
Shoot me some of your ideas, Eddie, and I'll see what I can help on. If you guys don't think we need a Carolina section, that's fine.
Still inactive :( Even with all of Paul's post whore replies :D Paul, lets talk this weekend 13-14 about cabin plans for BRG. We will all come up with an idea...
Eh, I bounce around. Definitely need to get more of the TN3S folks migrated over to here. Before I left TN, I saw a white 1g TT, a red 2g 3k (not sure if VR4 or not) and a red 1g RT in Athens all in the same day, and a white 1g 3k SL in Decatur (didn't seem to be local though). Nobody on any of the forums though. Really need to start keeping like business cards or something to put on folks windshields when I see them parked :P
We may have to bring her car over, as we can't find out what is draining the power.
Volt meter on the battery terminals and start pulling fuses one by one till you see what stops draining the voltage. Have to do that myself, after I get it running again. If you're not going to be driving it for a couple days (and don't mind resetting your radio) you can pull the IOD fuse in the engine bay. Should prevent any battery drain when the car is off. May help avoid having to replace the battery.
If you're still getting battery drain even if with the IOD fuse pulled, you've got something wired in seriously wrong.
guess who finally found this section lol
It's just Alan has it hidden, not sure why.
TN3S is the best. Duh and/or hola.
Going to get back to work on the car tomorrow. Had a thought today though about why clearance is so tight where the front preturbo pipe and the FMIC pipe to TB is..Potentially because the 13T compressor side is larger, and I didn't check out the depth of it, it could be an inch or whatever deeper/wider/whatever dimension it would be than the 9B was, essentially pushing that preturbo pipe against where the FMIC pipe should be running. Not that it impacts anything, just makes it a pain in the ass and a tight squeeze to get in there.
Saw the engine pic on FB, looks good.
Well, I plan to snap some more pictures tomorrow with a digital SLR as opposed to my iPod touch camera. Should be eye opening :p
It's not on the main page of the forum. People don't find it unless they start getting curious and clicking events/regional or they catch it in new posts. I think you wanted to keep it separate because of one persons opinion but every time it gets bumped it gets attention. You know better than me though.
I don't know that it necessarily needs to be on the main page of the forum, but the regional forum section is fairly small compared to the font size of the main sections. I wouldn't mind seeing it scaled up a bit. Or just ditch the regional main page and list the regions themselves there. I understand that the regional section doesn't get anywhere near the traffic of the other sections on the site, but being right above the classifieds in small font makes it really easy for people to just breeze past the area. While a lot of older owners know each other and have met at NGs and such, newer owners look to find others near them and setting up meets other face to face interactions with local and regional 3S owners is really the lifeblood of the community IMO. While the NG is great, it's just not feasible for a lot of folks to make compared to more local and regional meets. And while the forum as a whole is a fantastic resource and place to spend time, it's the Tn3S crew IMO that helps keep this habit of mine going through tough times economically, and I try to help others locally when I'm in a better position in life. I digress though, the long and short of it is: The regional forums/subforums need more or better exposure to maximize their effectiveness.
Certainly compared to the TN forum on the other site, this one is fairly dead, but most folks on the other forum had no idea that we now had our own subsection..Or even that there was a southeast region forum..
