Wow, thats an aweful crash.
Damn, they folded it up nicely. :(
Sadness :frown:
Thats to bad, anyone on here?

Eric
Ok, this sad smiley is seriously lame. Makes it look very angry.
Damn thats terrible. Any backstory on what happened?
Sad story, anyone from around here?

Not sure if it was one of us....17 year old.
Hearsay ...going over 100mph ....passing on shoulder ...etc. Took out the guardrail end treatment, about 200 feet. Crazy.
Damn, no second chance for that kid.
Horrible accident
oh geeze, my prayers for their families.
*off topic* why is it that the sad smiley, is actually the mad smiley?...
That sickens me. More than likely trying to impress the girl riding shotgun in the car.
Kinda sobers you up to reality... Sad!
and this is why i believe teenagers are not responsible enough for vehicles like this. Dont get me wrong some are but when they are trying to be cool or impress the opposite gender they tend not to think clearly
Just saw this on the news. That 3s was f'ed up. sad :(
Bit more detail: http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?se...cal&id=7753442
Anyone recognize the names?
I believe as parents we should not give your children more responsibility then they can handle for their maturity.
Sadly someone misjudged this one.
I had to buy my first car. :p I bought an '88 Supra, and my parents were all worried. That car taught me to respect the throttle pedal one morning. It had less power than an N/A 3s, but RWD sure as hell made my bum pucker, lol. Just romped on it one morning while making a left on a light in the rain and fishtailed for a good 1/8th mile over 2 lanes of road.
the best thing a parent with anyone under 19 should do when buying a auto for a kid is get them a 10 year old pickup truck with single seats, this would be no loading up with other kids to show off with or trying to impress girls etc. such as street racing . granny has it exactly right
My first car was an '85 Cavalier. It was clean as hell, but boring, too. ;)
My first car was a 91 SL, it didnt see high speeds often because thats not really what the car was ment to do being a sport luxury. I bought my vr4 with a blown motor and rebuilt it from the ground up at 16. Im 18 and dont act too stupid all the time in traffic and usually not with a passenger. (dont act like your car never sees triple digits) I should have my car taken away from me in your eyes?
One bad decision shouldnt reflect upon the rest.
so he killed that girl.... I mean, when you're driving with somebody, are you suppose to be more cautious because others person safety kind of depends on your actions?
You're taking others' lives into your hands every time you plop your butt on that seat and turn the key.
That's pretty bad.
Scotty
Yes, you'd assume so, but people are stupid.
modern generation is too discconected from reality to realize the limits they have. I started on a 1992 mr2 turbo behind my parents back but they let me use a 1986 toyota truck. I also grew up in the country and learned how to 'hit the ditch' to avoid people. Rule of thumb. Always know how long it takes to stop your car. because you're in control and thats always good for the record.
As for the crash, this just reminds me of my ex when she flipped my 3000GT. I did disprove the theory our cars were more areodynamic upside down though.
I dont know about the rest of the country but i dont think california gives a flying hee-haw who gets a DL anymore. I remember the flagship saying:
Driving is a privilage, NOT a right.
-dLs-
Very sad.
Look at the general bend of the entire car.
Is that 6x6 something he hit? Or is it some sort of wooden roman chariot style anti-sway bar?
No idea, but the live shot from the news showed a ton of empty guard rail posts they crushed, maybe it was something to do with that? Or maybe to stabilize the car, but I would have thought they'd just use wood cribbing.
:( sad
LOL we really need to get the sad face and the mad face fixed.
Yeah you're right, I can spot another 6x6 leaning in a similar position through the spot under the car.
