Something got in a hacked every single PHP file on the server.
I was making a post in a thread as as soon as I submitted AVG stopped a threat. It was a gif. that the threat was coming from. After that the site went screwy so I ran a virus scan to double check everything. By the time I came back you had it shut down fixing it.

Yeah I got IE and dark theme. Its not a huge deal as the games still work. I just wanted to make you aware of the issue at hand.
that is not cool, but... I'm using linux mint and "never" worry about that kind of stuff.
Before anybody gets too upset, realize that sometimes issues happen on the server end that Alan couldn't have planned for, or prevented.
A couple years back my website had obfuscated javascript injected into all HTML and PHP files, even those that were never world-readable. It turns out that Servage (the company hosting my site) had a worm on their end, and there was nothing I could do about it.
The key when this happens is to react to it. Thats why I turned the site off for most of the afternoon.
Just out of curiosity, what is the purpose in hacking this site? Is there some sort of beneficial merit on their end or is it just for kicks?
At this point I'd have to guess just to spread what ever virus/malware it was spreading.
Ah, thats why my GF's laptop was blocking the site and mine wasn't.

You guys need to switch to Chrome or Firefox and use ad blockers. I'm using chrome and still get the sponsor banners for the site but don't get other things that can harbor virus'.

alan I think its funny that the mass's made a huge deal about a virus (and they should of) but it happens on LOTS of forums. I am not being a tool and I ment no disrespect other then I found it ironic. You have to see that.

Not one person said only 3si gets viruses. Everyone was pissed that AF bitched at Alan for putting the site into default mode. Alan did the right thing by trying to protect the users from further attacks. AF was the assholes.Quote:
