About to purchase a 93stealth rt turbo .. Since its a 5sp how hard is it to swap a 6sp into it ?? Like parts needed ? And is it worth it ? I'm thinking better overdrive , closer ratios .. Am I wrong or can it even be done

Stick with the 5 speed. Its stronger overall. Just get a transfer case brace if you plan or drag racing.
You'd need the transmission, transfer case, rear differential, driveshaft, and shift cables.
Yes I plan on dragging it a few times a month .. So maybe I should get the brace .. Anything else it will be a Dailey driver too .
Is 94 the first year the Stealth got the 6sp
Yeah, 94 was the first year for the 6 speec in the TT's.
Stick with the 5 speed. The 6 speeds have a weaker bellhousing. 5 speed also has more advantages with gearing when it comes to dragging.
Good cause I prefer that body style too .. Thanks for the info ..
I like the 6-speed better for a DD. cruising down the highway at 3K+ RPMs gets old.
Ah, ok then...Id guess 265/35 tires too, was trying to figure out how you got over 3k :D
But when im doing 90, engine drone is usually the last thing on my mind http://www.cristoferdelatorre.com/em...he_policia.gif
I was wondering about that . I'm used to 70mph@2000rpm that's livable.. I do 200 miles a day almost for wk too . Is the 6speed that much better ?
Also what is the limitations of factory parts.. Like when does center diff blow and half shafts start spitting up lol
6 speed is about 1850 @ 60mph. 6 speed maybe 2200?
Rear axles won't blow till after 6-700awhp. High strength ones are able to be purchased. Front axles won't break. 3rd member is indestructible.
Transmission output shaft (input for transfer case) will snap/shear high hp. Strengthened replacement is available.
6 speed transfer case helical will strip with high hp or lots of shock. Trans casings and TC casings can be either reinforced or replaced with stronger stainless parts.
snapping parts also has to do with launching properly. you'll do it at lower HP levels if you aren't properly taking the slack out of the drivetrain before hammering it.
